Troubleshooting
What happens when my eSIM data plan expires?
#expiration#validity#renewal
- Data service stops at the end of your plan's validity period
- The eSIM profile remains installed on your device
- You'll receive reminder emails before your plan expires
- Unused data doesn't roll over to a new plan
- You can purchase a new data plan for the same eSIM or destination
After Expiry
- 1Purchase a new data plan if needed
- 2The old eSIM can stay on your device - it doesn't use significant storage
- 3Optional: Delete the eSIM profile only if you want to organize your cellular settings
- 4Some eSIMs support reactivation with a new plan (check with provider)
Quick Fix
Set a reminder 2 days before expiry to purchase renewal if needed
Important Note
The eSIM itself doesn't expire - only the data plan. The eSIM remains on your device and can be reactivated with a new plan if supported by the provider.
